Only what each needs to do their job: sellers get the delivery details for your order; the courier gets the delivery address and phone; Flutterwave processes payment; Cloudinary stores images; Clerk handles sign-in; Mailtrap sends email; our hosting and database providers store the data. We share with authorities where the law requires it. We never sell personal data.
You can see and update your details under Account. Email us to request a copy of your data or its deletion; we keep order and payment records we are legally required to keep (Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and tax law) and remove the rest.
Data is encrypted in transit; bank account numbers are encrypted at rest; access is limited to staff who need it. We keep account data while your account is open and order records for as long as the law requires.
You need an account to buy or sell. Keep your sign-in details private and give us accurate information. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Prices shown include the marketplace commission; VAT, the ICT levy and delivery are added at checkout. Orders are placed when you pay. Delivery is within Nigeria by courier from the seller's pickup address. Our refund and return policy applies to every order.
Sellers accept the seller terms: genuine products, accurate listings, prompt handover to the courier, and the platform commission. We may hold, remove or decline listings and suspend stores that breach the terms.
Sellers own their product photos and text and give AfriMarket a licence to display them. AfriMarket's name, logo and site design are ours. Don't copy or scrape the site.
AfriMarket is a marketplace: sellers are responsible for their products and buyers for their purchases. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under Nigerian law.
We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do. We may close accounts that break them. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
